PROCESSING

Encased Fan & bulk processing

Use air streams to move items or transform them through media.

An Encased Fan creates an air stream when rotated and powers several bulk processes when that stream passes through the correct medium.

Key processes

  • Air streams can move loose items and entities along a channel.
  • Water in the stream supports bulk washing recipes.
  • Heat/fire conditions support bulk smoking or blasting where recipes allow.
  • Soul-fire-like conditions enable haunting recipes.

Line design

  • A belt feeding through a controlled fan zone is one of Create’s clearest visible processing lines.
  • Shield public walkways so players do not get pushed into machinery.

Air-stream processing

  • An Encased Fan applies an air stream through blocks or conditions that determine the transformation performed on items passing through it.
  • Bulk processing is valuable where large material volumes justify a visible line, although this pack’s exported settings disable Bulk Pressing and Bulk Cutting specifically.

Production-line design

  • Every process has an input position, an operation condition and an output path.
  • Buffering at depots, vaults or chests prevents one slow stage from freezing the whole line.

Recipe verification

  • Use the recipe viewer to confirm steps and required heat or fluids.
  • Use Ponder to see how the machine expects items to be presented.

Processing through airflow

An encased fan creates an air stream that processes or moves items according to the arrangement in its path. Its strength is visible bulk handling: items can travel through a treatment stage rather than disappear into a machine interface.

Give fan lines safe containment and predictable item capture. Items blown past their intended output or pulled into the wrong route are common early design errors.

Processing as modules

A processing cell should make four things obvious: its input, its required condition, its operation and its output. For example, a press needs items placed under its working head; a basin process needs ingredients, powered operation and sometimes heat.

Once one cell is reliable, repeat or connect cells using belts, chutes, funnels, arms and storage. Modular processing lines are easier to upgrade, supply by train and sell from a player market.

Throughput and storage

Higher speed is useful only when every downstream stage can accept the results. When a line stalls, the apparent failure may be a full output inventory rather than the machine that stopped moving.
