Mounted working blocks turn contraptions into practical vehicles or moving tools. They are most useful when attached to deliberate storage and movement systems rather than used as isolated gimmicks.
Machine roles
- Mechanical Drills break blocks encountered by an appropriate moving contraption.
- Mechanical Rollers support track/road-style filling or shaping work; the exported config records a maximum fill depth of 12.
- Mechanical Harvesters collect mature crops and are configured here to replant after harvest.
- Mechanical Ploughs support terrain or farming interactions as part of a moving build.
Operations
- Give mobile machines mounted storage where appropriate; the exported config moves harvested/mined items into contraption storage.
- Fence or clearly mark operating spaces in shared settlements.
Moving machinery
- Contraptions transform static components into vehicles, lifts or mobile work heads.
- Plan attachment, storage, clearance, stopping points and player safety before decoration.
Pack limits
- This pack records a 2048-block contraption size limit, a 16-block chassis range, 64 Mechanical Piston poles and a 384-block Rope Pulley length limit.
- Harvesters are set to replant crops and avoid harvesting partially grown crops.
Designing moving machines
A contraption combines attachment, motion, storage and clearance. Before decorating, prove that every intended block travels with the assembly, that the route is clear and that the machine stops where players can safely access it.
Mobile harvesters, excavators, lifts and gantries become valuable when they feed ordinary storage or transport. Without an output plan, a moving machine is spectacle rather than infrastructure.
Shared-server safety
Moving builds should have clear operating areas and controls. Avoid sweeping hazards through paths or market spaces, and keep servicing possible without requiring an owner to rebuild the mechanism after every interruption.
