Trading machines

Safe offline shops for actual buildings.

What it changes for players

  • Trading machines support sales, purchasing or barter-style exchanges depending on configuration.
  • The owner controls stocked offers and access/rules; the machine makes sales when the owner is offline.
  • Place traders as counters, vending units or warehouse tills inside player-built shops.

A physical shop

  • A player constructs a building or stall, then places trade machinery within it.
  • The shop must be stocked and configured for offered exchanges, letting customers trade while the owner is offline.

Trust and design

  • Make entrances, counters, stock themes and prices readable.
  • Put high-demand shops by rail terminals or town squares so travel and commerce reinforce each other.
