TRADE HANDBOOK
Getting started with currency
How player-built shops function as a physical economy.
What it changes for players
- Choose a town or station market where shops will be built by players.
- A shop owner places and configures a protected trading machine inside a real shop build.
- Customers bring currency or wallet-held funds and exchange them for stocked goods.
- A shop only becomes meaningful when goods are produced, transported and restocked.
How to establish trade
- Choose a common public market location connected to player travel routes.
- Agree on which coin denominations or tender are normally used before prices become inconsistent.
- Start with resources players actually need: food, building materials, tools and transport-linked goods.
Good economic rules
- Avoid admin shops that create or remove unlimited value unless your group deliberately wants that style.
- Keep shops physical and visible so commerce creates towns rather than only menus.
- Let supply scarcity and transport difficulty give goods their value.
